What is the Healing Mud from Sivash Lake?
Healing Mud from Sivash Lakeis an effective peloid (marine mud), which has formed in the highly concentrated brine of the pink salt lake Sivash and is a complex physical-chemical dynamic system. Because of the physical-chemical properties the Healing Mud from Sivash Lake belongs to the salt-containing sulfide-poor chloride-magnesium-sodium peloids. In addition to the valuable minerals it contains certain organic substances and has a slight hydrogen sulfide odor.

Healing Mud is manually removed from the lake, unchanged, topped only with the pink brine of Sivash lake, airtight packaged without preservatives. So it reaches the user in their most natural form. The high concentration of salt protects the marine mud from contamination in a natural way. The pink color of the brine owes to the high concentration of the microalgae Dunaliella Salina, which itself is very valuable and rich in beta-carotene. For her own protection in the concentrated brine algae produces many carotenoids, especially beta-carotene.

Mode of action of Healing Mud from Sivash Lake
Healing Mud is a good heat accumulator and can be applied hot or cold as peloid pack. The body has to compensate the difference in temperature, that starts the healing process. In warm applications of marine mud the heat is released slowly and gently to the skin and it comes to warming not only the upper but also the deeper layers of the body.
During drying of the sea mud a suction effect occurs on earth healing the skin pores. The pores open, the pollutants, sebum and impurities are removed. The skin can be better supplied with oxygen and nutrients.
Due to the fine structure of the marine mud it comes during application of the sea mud on the skin to mechanical irritation of the skin surface. This leads to the therapeutic increase in blood flow and activation of sweating. The skin flakes and horn formations are removed in a gentle manner. This reduces the itching. The mud particles remove the fat and bacterias, they clean the skin and release the pores. A better own functions of the skin will be possible.
The Healing Mud is applied externally cold or warm. Thermal procedures (38-42 °C) are recommended for chronic diseases of the bones, joints and spine. Generally, the cold / warm hand-test may be performed: If the cold hand on the affected area is more comfortable than the warm, than must the healing clay be applied cold.
The warming healing clay should be carried out indirectly, preferably in a water bath. Very high temperatures and microwave radiation have a negative effect on the biochemical substance of the healing clay and reduce its therapeutic properties.
The healing clay can also be applied cold and heating takes place by an external source such as hot water bottle or heating pad.
Treatments should be done ideally in the evening, because the healing clay after the treatment farther on developed its qualities and the body should then be in a resting phase.
In the treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system as well as acne, the treatment site is covered after application of the healing clay with a film or a wet sarong. Then, put on a dry towel and a warm blanket.
In eczema and psoriasis treatment stays the plays with application of the healing clay not covered.
The duration of treatment varies and depends on the disease or the purpose of the application. For short treatments remains Healing Mud 10-30 minutes (for example: till dry up the healing clay), 30-60 minutes long and 90 minutes by the well compatibility on the treatment site. After treatment, the healing clay is washed off with warm water.
Tip: We recommend to take the required amount of healing clay with a sufficiently large strip of clingfilm from the box and then to form the film as a bag. Put the bag in warm water with temperature about 60 °C until the healing clay has reached the right temperature. Apply the sea mud directly from the film to the skin and cover the place with this film.
Before the first treatment, we recommend that the healing clay 2-3-times applied to the soles of the feet for 10 minutes. This helps the body to get used to the healing clay.
Supportive care for chronic diseases of the bones, joints and spine (eg rheumatism, arthritis, gout)
Application is done as a mud pack. Warm up Healing Mud in a water bath to a temperature of 36-42 °С. Apply the mud 1 to 2 mm thick on the affected joint (see application), cover with foil and then wrap up for extra warmth.
Wash off the silt after 30-40 minutes with warm water.
The treatment should be carried out in the evening before going to sleep, every day or every other day. Duration of treatment: 8-12 days.
Supportive treatment for chronic back pain (herniated disc, radiculitis, spinal cord syndrome, muscle tension)
The application accurs as mud pack. Warm up the peloid in a water bath to a temperature of 40-42 °С. Apply along the spine to the pain area 1 to 2 mm thick (see application), cover with foil and then wrap up for extra warmth.
Let the healing mud to affect for 30-40 minutes and wash up with warm water.
The treatment should be carried out in the evening before going to sleep, every day or every other day. Duration of treatment: 10-12 days.
Supportive treatment for acne, blackheads and pimples
Warm up the peloid in water bath to a temperature of 36-38 °С. Apply 1 to 2 mm thick on the affected skin area (see application), cover with foil and then wrap up for extra warmth.
Let the healing mud to affect for 30-40 minutes (on the face of 5-15 min) and wash up with warm water.
Treatment duration: 10-12 applications.
Alleviation of pruritus in atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) and psoriasis
Warm up the peloid in water bath to a temperature of 37-39 °С. Apply 1 to 2 mm thick on the affected skin area.
After about 20-30 minutes, when the mud is dry, wash it up with warm water.
Treatment duration: 15-20 applications. Every other day or two days in a row and the third day pause.
