What is the Healing Mud from Sivash Lake?

Healing Mud from Sivash Lakeis an effective peloid (marine mud), which has formed in the highly concentrated brine of the pink salt lake Sivash and is a complex physical-chemical dynamic system. Because of the physical-chemical properties the Healing Mud from Sivash Lake belongs to the salt-containing sulfide-poor chloride-magnesium-sodium peloids. In addition to the valuable minerals it contains certain organic substances and has a slight hydrogen sulfide odor.

Due to the rare and unique conditions of origin belongs the Healing Mud from Sivash Lake to the best peloids of the world.

Healing Mud is manually removed from the lake, unchanged, topped only with the pink brine of Sivash lake, airtight packaged without preservatives. So it reaches the user in their most natural form. The high concentration of salt protects the marine mud from contamination in a natural way. The pink color of the brine owes to the high concentration of the microalgae Dunaliella Salina, which itself is very valuable and rich in beta-carotene. For her own protection in the concentrated brine algae produces many carotenoids, especially beta-carotene.

Healing Mud is used for the peloid therapy in supportive treatment in the cases described above. The peloid therapy, the treatment with mud (silt), as a kind of balneotherapy, belongs to the most effective methods of natural healing. The main positive features of the peloid are the specific environmental conditions at the Sivash lake, especially the origin of marine silt in the highly concentrated pink brine and the fact that the peloid is present in the ready form in nature and has not be prepared.

Healing Mud  is a good heat accumulator and can be applied hot or cold as peloid pack. The body has to compensate the difference in temperature, that starts the healing process. In warm applications of marine mud the heat is released slowly and gently to the skin and it comes to warming not only the upper but also the deeper layers of the body.

During drying of the sea mud a suction effect occurs on earth healing the skin pores. The pores open, the pollutants, sebum and impurities are removed. The skin can be better supplied with oxygen and nutrients.

Due to the fine structure of the marine mud it comes during application of the sea mud on the skin to mechanical irritation of the skin surface. This leads to the therapeutic increase in blood flow and activation of sweating. The skin flakes and horn formations are removed in a gentle manner. This reduces the itching. The mud particles remove the fat and bacterias, they clean the skin and release the pores. A better own functions of the skin will be possible.

The Healing Mud is applied externally cold or warm. Thermal procedures (38-42 °C) are recommended for chronic diseases of the bones, joints and spine. Generally, the cold / warm hand-test may be performed: If the cold hand on the affected area is more comfortable than the warm, than must the healing clay be applied cold.

The warming healing clay should be carried out indirectly, preferably in a water bath. Very high temperatures and microwave radiation have a negative effect on the biochemical substance of the healing clay and reduce its therapeutic properties.

The healing clay can also be applied cold and heating takes place by an external source such as hot water bottle or heating pad.

Treatments should be done ideally in the evening, because the healing clay after the treatment farther on developed its qualities and the body should then be in a resting phase.

In the treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system as well as acne, the treatment site is covered after application of the healing clay with a film or a wet sarong. Then, put on a dry towel and a warm blanket.

In eczema and psoriasis treatment stays the plays with application of the healing clay not covered.

For short treatments remains Healing Mud 10-30 minutes (for example: till dry up the healing clay), 30-60 minutes long and 90 minutes by the well compatibility on the treatment site. After treatment, the healing clay is washed off with warm water.

Tip: We recommend to take the required amount of healing clay with a sufficiently large strip of clingfilm from the box and then to form the film as a bag. Put the bag in warm water with temperature about 60 °C  until the healing clay has reached the right temperature. Apply the sea mud directly from the film to the skin and cover the place with this film.

Before the first treatment, we recommend that the healing clay 2-3-times applied to the soles of the feet for 10 minutes. This helps the body to get used to the healing clay.
